3 flavors down.

3 batches of cupcakes baked. 2 flavors of frosting made.

Tomorrow will bring more cupcakes. Then I just need to decide what to do with them.


So far I have 2 dozen Dark Chocolate Caramel, 1.5 dozen French Toast, & 2 dozen mini Chocolate Chip Pancake. They'll be frosted with Caramel Whipped Cream frosting & Maple Whipped Cream frosting.

This weekend is all about baking.

Dark Chocolate Caramel cupcakes with Caramel Whipped Cream frosting are being made now.

Next batch will be French Toast Cupcake with Maple Buttercream (and bacon bits) frosting.

I haven't baked for a while.

I did try a new brownie cupcake the other day. It got mixed reviews from the taste testers so I'll be tweaking that & trying again.

I made a Devil's Food Caramel torte for the 4th of July weekend. I'm going to try to modify it into a doable cupcake recipe.

I got several new cookbooks this week that I will be testing recipes from this weekend. Hopefully it'll stay cool enough to bake this weekend.

So a friend posted this idea on a board I frequent. Of course since I had pie crusts in the freezer I decided to make them. At 10pm. LOL


Next time I'll make my own pie crust for them. They were a hit with the kids for breakfast.

I bake as an emotional release. Hence the name "Baking for Sanity".

I also bake for my kids I thought I'd toss all my creations into one place so I can find them.
